This water sculpture was conceived from a desire to create something both understated and enduring. Every proportion, surface and detail must be carefully considered, as there is nothing superfluous to distract from the whole.
The result is a sculpture that possesses a quiet confidence. Rising to a height of 1600mm, with a refined profile measuring 350mm wide at the top and 120mm deep, it has a distinctly human scale. It neither dominates nor disappears within a landscape. Instead, it establishes a natural relationship with the viewer, inviting contemplation and creating a sense of calm presence within its surroundings.
Over time, the sculpture has been selected by renowned garden designers and landscape architects for inclusion in a wide range of prestigious projects. From intimate private gardens to expansive public landscapes, its versatility allows it to complement both contemporary and traditional settings. The original polished stainless steel version became recognised for its elegant reflective qualities, mirroring the changing light, seasons and environment around it. Building upon this foundation, a new interpretation is now being developed. This exciting evolution replaces the polished metal surface with a highly reflective, semi-transparent black glass. The material introduces a deeper sense of mystery and intrigue, revealing subtle reflections and shifting visual effects that emerge from within its darkened surface.
